The Blue Neon Peacock is a stunning cichlid species renowned for its electric blue coloration. While generally peaceful, dominant males may display increased aggression, especially when breeding or asserting dominance over other males.

Male vs Female Coloration:
Males are known for their vivid neon blue coloration, which becomes more intense during breeding periods. Females, like most peacocks, are generally less colorful, displaying more subdued hues of gray or brown.

Behavior and Tank Requirements:
The Blue Neon Peacock is relatively mild-mannered and can coexist peacefully with other similarly tempered peacocks and Haplochromis. However, dominant males may show heightened aggression, particularly toward other similarly colored males or the same species. To minimize aggression, it's best to provide plenty of hiding spots, line-of-sight breaks, and open swimming areas.

Blue Neon Peacocks are compatible with other peaceful cichlid species, such as the Ngara Flametail Peacock, Red Top Lwanda Peacock, and the Azureus Cichlid. Avoid housing them with more aggressive species that could provoke stress or aggression.
